Wow! We had an AMAZING last day of school! Here are the details:
We enjoyed a snack of apples, string cheese and rainbow goldfish while watching slideshows of all the pictures from throughout the year. We took more time to sign yearbooks and poetry books. Then we wrote in Special Times in Second grade for the last time. Mrs. Anderson read us Of Thee I Sing by Barack Obama. We got our report cards and then it was time to go. We all said goodbye to each other and to Mrs. Anderson. We walked out to the buses and as we left the parking lot all of the Brimhall staff waved to us.
Have a Super Summer and Keep Reading!
Best of Luck in Third Grade!

Terrific Tuesday
Here are the five top things we did today:
5. We played Jungle Tag in Gym! Mrs. Brink was back. It was awesome!
4. In math, we did puzzles in groups. It was hard at first, but we all finished!
3. We met two of the third grade teachers and they told us what third grade would be like, what projects we will do and we got to ask questions.
2. We looked through our Writing Folders. Every writing project we have done is in the folders. We read them all and picked our favorite one.
1. We wrote "Remember Me" letter to Mrs. Anderson.
We will have our Poetry and Popsicle Party tomorrow!

Buddies are the Best!
Today we got to spend some time with our fifth grade buddies from Mr. Norman's class. They gave each of the second graders a certificate for completing second grade. Then we went outside and the second graders read their poems to the fifth graders. The fifth graders gave the second graders some tips to improve their reading. The kids also got a chance to play together on the playground.
It was so much fun to see the kids play together on their own. The fifth graders helped organize a few games and activities with the second graders. Both Mr. Norman and I enjoyed watching the kids interact and truly enjoy being together. We were both very proud of the kids! It was a fun experience for all of the kids.
Finally, we said goodbye and good luck to our buddies!
