Last Day of School

Today was the last day of 2nd grade!  What a wonderful year it has been!  

We read a few books, had a Dance Party, enjoyed popsicles, played outside, watched a bit of Ramona, wrote in Special Times in 2nd Grade and had a birthday party!  Before we knew it, it was time to go!

As one last reflection on the year, I asked the students to complete this sentence:  "I am . . . "

It was so interesting to see how they felt about their year and what they have accomplished.  I love how it turned out in the end.

What Fun!

What a fun afternoon we had today!  

Many families and other special people came to school to listen to us perform our readings and share our portfolios of all the work we had done this year!  We even enjoyed a popsicle a some time to play on the playground.  

Thank you to everyone who came to support our students!  It was a wonderful time together!

Bee Bots

Today in Library we used Bee Bots!  It was so fun and we really worked well together.

Bee Bots are programable bees that roll across a surface.  We had to program the bee to get from one corner to the opposite corner.  Once we did that, we placed obstacles on the grid and had to program around them to get to the corner.  It was a challenge, but we did it!
