Today we started talking about opinion writing. We first distinguished between fact and opinion. We read a book called The Popcorn Book by Tomie DePaola. It was full of facts about popcorn. After reading the book we wrote some opinions about popcorn. Last, we determined if specific statements were facts or opinions about popcorn. It was lots of fun, but made us hungry for popcorn!
