Star of the North Winner

Today we had library and got to learn about the Star of the North Picture book winner!  We were so excited we could hardly wait!

First we reviewed the Brimhall winners.  We were part of the vote.  Ask your child which one he/she voted for and how close the vote was.  (The difference between first and second choice was only 1 vote.)

We learned that the overall state winners were:

 3rd place - Ninja Red Riding Hood by Corey Rosen Schwartz

2nd place - Gaston by Kelly DiPucchio

We also learned about the nominees for next year's award!  We will be in third grade and vote on the Maud Hart Lovelace award, but we can still enjoy these great picture books.
